Why can't I import my LinkedIn and Google contacts?

Last updated: March 31, 2025

At Hifive, we’ve intentionally designed our system to pull only your Google Calendar contacts for a simple, strategic reason: if you’ve met someone, you’re far more likely to confidently make an introduction to them. Unlike the sprawling networks of LinkedIn or Google Contacts, where the sheer volume of connections often includes people you barely know, your calendar reflects real interactions. This focus boosts the success rate of introductions, as familiarity drives trust and follow-through. Plus, keeping vast datasets current is a losing battle—data enrichment tools are, at best, 80% accurate, leading to outdated or unreliable info. Instead, we prioritize a smaller, high-quality pool of contacts that deliver better results for intros.

To take this further, we’ve built a feature for Groups to “offer” introductions based on specific targets they define. This targeted approach significantly increases the likelihood of an introduction becoming an actual meeting, making your networking efforts more precise and effective. Quality over quantity—that’s the Hifive difference.
