Last updated: March 31, 2025

Step 1: Select the Group to Display 2nd-Degree Connections

  1. Log in to Hifive

    • Ensure you're logged into your Hifive account. The platform's logo is visible in the top left corner of the interface.

  2. Select the Group

    • You'll see a row of group buttons at the top of the "Discover People Through Your Network" page.

    • Click on the button for the group name you want to explore. For example, to search within the "Hifive" group, click the "Hifive" tile.

    • This will display all the 2nd-degree connections of the members of that group. These are people who are connected to the members of the selected group but not directly to you.

Step 2: Verify the Contact Using Their LinkedIn Profile

  1. Browse the List of 2nd-Degree Connections

    • After selecting the group, a list of 2nd-degree connections will appear under the "All Connections" section (or the selected group’s section).

    • Each connection will show their name, job title, company, and the mutual connection

  2. Click on the LinkedIn Profile

    • To verify the contact, locate the "LinkedIn" link next to the person’s name.

    • Click the "LinkedIn" link to open their LinkedIn profile in a new tab.

    • Review their profile to confirm they are the right person for the introduction based on their role, experience, or company.

Step 3: Request the Intro

  1. Initiate the Intro Request

    • Once you’ve verified the contact, return to the Hifive page.

    • Next to the person’s name, click the "Request Intro" button. For example, click "Request Intro".

    • This will open the "Intro" pop-up window.

  2. Add a Message

    • In the "Intro" pop-up, you’ll see the target person’s name and details at the top.

    • Below that, you’ll see the name of the mutual connector.

    • In the "Your message to [Connector’s Name]" field, type a polite and professional message explaining why you’d like the introduction.

  3. Set the Payment Amount for the Intro

    • Below the message field, you’ll see the "Offer pay for intro" section.

    • The default amount is $250 (as shown in the second image), but you can adjust this if needed.

    • Decide on the amount you’re willing to pay for the intro if it’s successful.

  4. Send the Request

    • Double-check your message and the payment amount to ensure everything is correct.

    • Click the "Send request" button at the bottom of the pop-up to submit your intro request.

    • The request will be sent to the mutual connector who can then decide whether to facilitate the introduction.
